Russian Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (RAAPA), established in 1995, nowadays represents the interests of more than 250 manufacturing companies and parks of Russia, the CIS countries and foreign countries.
Main trends of RAAPA activity:
·                   organizing and holding annual international tradeshows, as well as international conferences on safety of amusement equipment and on entertainment business organization;
·                   training and certification of personnel of amusement industry enterprises;
·                   publication of a periodic magazine Attractions and Entertainments;
·                   participation in the development of Government draft regulations in the sphere of state policy in organization of public leisure;
·                   development and implementation of safety standards for amusement industry, participation in the work of Rosstandard TC 427 Committee;
·                   cooperation with local authorities on issues of leisure development;
·                   legal, technical, etc. consultations in the field of amusement industry and public leisure;
·                   organization of visits to the best parks, international exhibitions, seminars, and other professional events in Europe, Asia, the USA, etc.;
·                   publication and distribution of normative and technical documents;
·                   participation in the international activity: RAAPA is a member of International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), takes part in the work of ISO Committee TC 254 «Safety of Amusement Rides» of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), of European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and ASTM F‑24 Standardization Committee (USA).
